Following the success of the four previous IKEA television commercials, DDB Brussels has created another in the series 'Bring your living room to life'. This time the film revolves around a surprise party and a rather unexpected clean up.
This time the story revolves around the unexpected. Or more specifically: embracing unexpected moments. It’s a story inspired by real life. DDB translated it into an atmospheric commercial whereby a young man is surprised by an unexpected phone call from his parents after an unexpectedly heavy party. Fortunately, thanks to smart storage options and modular pieces from IKEA, he can clean up the living room just in time.
Besides TV, online, pre-rolls and social content, posters and print are also used in this autumn campaign. Radio spots too will follow later. The television commercial is once again the work of Joe Vanhoutteghem and Czar. The music comes from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.
IKEA believes the living room plays an essential role in a home. And that it is the most important room in the house as it can be used for so many different activities, depending on the time, situation and age of the people. IKEA wants to make Belgians aware of the possibilities of their living room and show how easy it can be to get the most out of it.
